Donations to The Nest Food Pantry encouraged at basketball doubleheader

RALEIGH, N.C. — Due to anticipated winter weather, our men's and women's basketball games originally scheduled for Saturday, January 24 will now be played on Friday, January 23. The men's basketball game against Denmark Tech will tip off at 1:00 p.m., followed by women's basketball against Fayetteville Tech.

Admission is free to both games, but we are asking fans to support the Nest Food Pantry. The Nest Food Pantry at Wake Tech's Care Center accepts donations of nonperishable food items to help students facing food insecurity. These include canned fruits and vegetables, canned tuna or chicken, peanut butter, dry goods like pasta and rice, cereals, crackers, and shelf-stable items such as granola bars or ramen. Donations support monthly shopping with pick-up available at multiple campus locations. Bulk items are not accepted to ensure efficient distribution and storage.
