Damon Ellis did his part on the hill, but it wasn't enough to carry the Eagles to a win on Sunday, as the Eagles fell to Rockingham CC 1-0 at North Main Athletic Complex in 10 innings.
Ellis kept Rockingham CC off the board during his eight innings of work. Ellis allowed two hits, two walks and struck out seven.
Hampton Thomas couldn't get it done on the bump for the Eagles, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
In the tenth inning, Rockingham CC pushed across its only run of the day on an RBI double by Johnson.
