Wake Tech Shut Out by USC-Lancaster

The Eagles fell 10-0 to USC-Lancaster at Florence-Darlington CC.

The Eagles fell 10-0 to USC-Lancaster at Florence-Darlington CC on Sunday.
 
Thomas Durant got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He pitched five shutout innings. Durant struck out seven, walked three and gave up three hits.

USC-Lancaster was sparked by Walt Ballentine and Jonathan Saiso, who teamed up for four hits and three RBIs.

Justin Huggins couldn't get it done on the hill for the Eagles, taking a loss. He allowed nine runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out two.

USC-Lancaster never surrendered the lead after the third inning, scoring two runs on an RBI double by Ballentine and an RBI single by Evan Edwards.

USC-Lancaster added seven more runs in the bottom of the fourth. A passed ball scored Samuel Blalock to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Ballentine's single, scoring Fenway Parks and Ryan Knowels.
