Wake Tech Hangs on to Defeat Patrick Henry, 3-1
Patrick Henry wasn't able to come back from the big hole it dug itself into against the Eagles.
Patrick Henry wasn't able to come back from the big hole it dug itself into against the Eagles, and lost 3-1 to the Eagles after falling behind by three runs in the third inning.
Caleb Coyle had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He tripled in the third and fourth innings.
Austin Warren struck out six hitters en route to the the Eagles win. The Eagles' pitcher tossed five innings of shutout ball and allowed only six hits.
Santiago took the loss for Patrick Henry. He lasted just 4 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out
two, and allowed three runs.
Eagles closer Loy Stone put away the final three outs to record the save.
The game was never in doubt after the third, as the Eagles scored three runs on an RBI double by Travis Owens and a solo home run by Keegan Woolford.
