Andrew Holub earns NJCAA All-American honors
RALEIGH, NC — Wake Tech infielder Andrew Holub received NJCAA third-team All-American honors on Monday. He is the first Wake Tech player to receive All-American honors since Martin Muzik was named to the second-team in 2018.
Holub had an historic season for the Eagles, setting new program records in runs (65), hits (77), RBIs (56), batting average (.433), and total bases (129). He appeared in all but one of the team's 49 games this season, starting almost exclusively at third base. Holub racked up 27 stolen bases on just 28 attempts. His efforts earned him first-team All-Region 10 honors. He led all Region 10 DII players in batting average, finishing the season 19th nationally.
Holub has committed to continuing his athletic and academic career at the University of Iowa, competing for the Hawkeyes in the Big Ten Conference.
