Vann named First Team All-Region 10

RALEIGH – Wake Technical Community College women's basketball coach Alison Beasley announced that Anna Vann has been named First Team All-Region 10.

Vann started 19 of 23 games for Wake Tech as a freshman during the 2019-20 season.   She leads the Eagles in scoring with 18.8 points per game in addition to leading the team with 6.5 assists per game.  She is second with 3.5 assists per game.

"Anna is a tenacious player on the court," said Beasley. "She is the general on the court for us this season. While she leads on offense, she also is a defensive spark that transitions into offense and loves to get her entire team involved."

The Eagles finished the regular season with an overall record of 18-7 and 10-6 record in the region, earning the team a third seed in the upcoming NJCAA Region 10 Division II tournament hosted by Patrick Henry (Va.) Community College March 5-7.

All-Region accolades are nominated and voted on by the head coaches within the region.
