Hurricane Florence took a toll on match schedules across the Carolinas this week. Wake Tech and Sandhills are happy to be taking the court for a 5 pm contest at the Southern Wake Campus, Building N, Gym.
Wake Tech and Sandhills Community College are familiar foes and have a mutual respect for each other. When the two teams meet it's a great barometer to determine where they stand more than one month into the season.
The Flyers are climbing the ranks in the NJCAA, DIII- that's nothing new for SCC. Currently, they have a 9-3 record with a key win over Richard Bland by a score of 3-1.
Wake Tech sits in the third position in a very crowded Region X, DII field. A victory over the Flyers would do wonders for their confidence. It's no secret the Eagles are on the road to face a loaded team in the region this weekend when Wake Tech visits Catawba Valley. Wake Tech has one common opponent with the Flyers, the Eagles fell to Richard Bland by a score of 3-1.
