Raleigh, N.C. — Wake Tech volleyball picked up their second win of the season on Tuesday evening, defeating Central Carolina in straight sets (25-13, 25-22, 25-8). The win moves the Eagles to 2-1 on the season.
The Eagles recorded 15 aces over the three sets, including a team-high five from freshman Jenna Carlson. Mary Barnes added three aces.
On Thursday, the team travels to South Prince George, VA for a non-conference matchup with Richard Bland. The Statesmen are the reigning Region 10 DII champions, and advanced to the NJCAA tournament after winning the Southeast District A championship. The Eagles are at home again next Thursday, September 4 to play Cape Fear at 6:00 pm.
